Coming from a family of self employed people who all owned small businesses, I also owned a small jewelry making business for over 20 years. I sold my jewelry at craft fairs across 6 states as well as vendor markets. In 2007, I made a difficult choice to go to work punch a large for a large corporation.
I lost my amazing Brother in 2016, who lost a 7 year battle with cancer, who was an avid scuba diver, idolized Jacques Cousteau, dreamed of the ocean and all things in it, loved life and lived it to the fullest each and every day. Then, in 2017 exactly 1 year after saying goodbye to my Brother, I said good bye to my Amazing beautiful Mother, also to the cancer she had beat in 1989 that came back to take her life very quickly. She was a believer in setting goals for yourself and she never quit anything, she always finished. She also had this Asian flair in her decorating and had more yard trinkets, Fairies, concrete Buddhas and Japanese Pagodas in her yard than you have ever seen. Of course, all these heavy concrete pieces were divided among her Daughters and Granddaughters and we will always treasure them.
I miss the old days going to market, shopping for unusual beads, charms and findings to complete my designs and decided to start Shawncy K where I will sell jewelry from classic to simple, boho to chic and funky to fantastic. I am very excited to get back to doing something I love.
Life is short and it is important to live life to the fullest and appreciate what you have before it is too late. I hope you enjoy browsing through my treasures. Have a lovely day.
